If the name Ken Kesey rings a bell or you identified with the Merry Pranksters then the name "Further" rings a bell too.
Take a look at Further, the bus that figures so prominently in all the stores, myths, and lore.

Are you even the bit superstitious about Friday the 13th? No, I'm not talking about the damn movie.
After ignoring Pinterest for far too long, I finally setup a number of pins that point into JetCityOrange.
It's sort of a visual index into JetCityOrange. But then again, isn't that what Pinterest is? A visual peek into external sites.
What is sold in cartons in the grocery store ISN'T eggnog. Or at least it's not real eggnog.
Behold! My family's eggnog recipe. You owe me one.
Who doesn't love Lava Lamps? The flow, the blob, the endless random changes.
What if I told you my Lava Lite not only made the local evening news but the story hit the wire services and went nuts.
True story.

Did someone say it's time to go to the beach?
Not bloody likely? Nor me.
How about listening to the sound of waves gently lapping on the shore. The peacefully sound of the surf...

The Recipe Sliderule is a free open source tool that applies the THC and CBD levels in marijuana to setting doses for medibles like candy, baked goods, tinctures, and other concentrates.
As marijuana becomes legalized across the nation, consumers expect accurate labeling on products. Without lab analysis of the specific cannabis used no one - processors, retailers or consumers - knows what's in a specific product whether recreational pot or medical marijuana.
The Recipe Sliderule is available as an Excel spreadsheet and online as a Google Sheets.
The Recipe Sliderule is a tool to help set the dose & serving size for THC and CBD if you’re making medibles or concentrates.
If you have the THC and CBD levels from lab analysis you can accurately establish a set dose for the candy, baked goods, or tincture you’re making. By using The Recipe Sliderule, doses can be consist across batches even when different cannabis is used each time.
The Recipe Sliderule is available as an Excel spreadsheet and a Google Sheets. It’s free open source software licensed under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0). It’s available now on LeBlancCNE.com/recipe-sliderule/

Azalea Software Releases Fun New Excel Macro With An Excellent How-to
SEATTLE-25sep14- flipText is a small Excel macro that easily reverses the order of text in a spreadsheet. While converting "stressed" to "desserts" is fun, Excel power users have more complicated project needs. Those needs are addressed in the comprehensive How-To that accompanies the flipText macro.
The How-To clearly explains, step-by-step, how to copy an Excel macro from one spreadsheet into another.
"Most Excel users have never really worked with custom macros before. So the idea of copying a macro is beyond most people's comfort zone. The flipText macro is fun enough to get their attention, and from there they may find using macros less intimidating." says Miranda Pinero, President & CEO of Azalea Software, Inc. "To help distribute this simple tutorial, we released flipText as open source software under a Creative Commons license."
The flipText macro and its invaluable how-to can be downloaded from Azalea Software's website: www.azalea.com/excel-macros/
Azalea Software, Inc. [Seattle WA] has been publishing barcode and auto-ID software and tools for over 20 years. All of Azalea's barcode fonts come with sample code including Excel spreadsheets with sophisticated macros that make creating barcodes quick and easy.

“Cannabis: chemistry & cooking”
7-8:30 pm Mon Nov 18, 2013
Jigsaw Renaissance
The InScape Bldg, 815 Seattle Blvd S. Seattle 98134
With the legalization of marijuana behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to the science of cannabis. Let’s set the myths and hearsay aside and learn how cannabis really works. “Cannabis: chemistry & cooking” is a free lecture that presents the science of cannabis addressing questions like:
- Are the various strains really that different? How & why?
- What’s in cannabis besides THC?
- Why is everyone talking about CBD?
- What’s the science behind smoking, eating, & other ingestion methods?
- How can I become a cannabis nerd?
Prohibition and the war on drugs spread lies and disinformation, depriving us of basic science and botany. While the body of scientific research continues to shed light on the healing effects of medical marijuana, somehow it never seems to make the mainstream media. Let’s change that by starting the conversation among ourselves.
As we learn more about marijuana, both as individuals and as a society, we’ll make better decisions about personal usage, laws & policy, and how to grow and prepare our own medicine the more we know.
Whether you attend or not, please feel free to review the lecture slides: http://goo.gl/ovX55A
